The Talent Equation
I was the lead writer, researcher, and project manager for the 2013 general business book, The Talent Equation, co-authored by Matt Ferguson (CEO of CareerBuilder), Lorin Hitt (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) and Prasanna Tambe (Stern School, New York University). The book explores the potential for big data to transform human resources and investigates the most pressing issues facing the labor market and workforce management today.
I collaborated with the co-authors to fuse their research and thought leadership into a cohesive narrative, secured interviews with C-level leadership at Fortune 500 companies for each chapter, and led development of marketing collateral for the book's publicity campaign. Upon publication, the book received top-level media hits from Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and a front page mention in USA Today.
The book, published by McGraw Hill, has shipped more than 5,000 copies and continues to serve as an effective marketing tool for the CareerBuilder salesforce.
